In a world where there are few things you can believe in, you have to learn to believe in yourself.
You have to learn what makes you tick, what makes you get up in the morning, what makes you happy to be alive.
You have to know what you’re good at—not just what you enjoy. I love music, but I know I wouldn’t have a bat’s chance in hell at being a professional musician.
You have to have grit. Grit means that you’re willing to live your life dedicated to your gift. Grit is necessary to make that unpolished gem you’re born with into a shining jewel worthy to be displayed to the world.
Grit also allows you to realize that a big part of living your dreams is mastering the everyday quest of intensity, clarity and focus. You can’t let yourself be distracted by small things, little minds, or petty arguments. You and your dreams deserve better than that.
You are the guardian of your dreams, the keeper of your soul, the librarian of your mind. Keep learning, keep searching, keep struggling.
The stars that will ultimately guide you may be hidden behind the clouds, but they are there. Keep believing in the dream of you. Then, when the stars finally align, you’ll be ready.
